LBD

L'exposition Little Black Dress se tient en ce moment et jusqu'au 22 septembre à Pais, à l'American Center. Elle ne retrace pas l'histoire de la petite robe noire, de son ascension comme pièce iconique et intemporelle, mais présente de très beaux modèles du genre. On y découvre la diversité des noirs, qui se transforment par des jeux de transparence, ou en alliant les matières (la soie, le cuir, la dentelle, ...). Une visite inspirante pour ne pas s'arrêter au style lancé par Audrey Hepburn, puisque Marc Jacobs nous propose même un modèle pour homme.

The American Center in Paris, is currently hosting the Little Black Dress exhibition (until September 22nd). You won't find here a retrospective of the LBD's ascension towards its status of iconic and timeless fashion piece. But the center is certainly showing amazing dresses of the kind. You will discover how diverse black can be. It transforms when associated to various materials (silk, leather, lace), or see-through fabrics. So let this visit inspire you, and you will find that a LBD can be very different from the Audrey Hepburn style. Marc Jacobs is even presenting a model for men!
